The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the location near NE 227th Avenue, north of NE Halsey Street in Fairview.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a serious crash at the intersection of NW Germantown Rd and NW Kaiser Rd, just north of the Bethany area.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a report of a hiker who had fallen from a trail near Horsetail Falls, located at 56600 E Historic Columbia River Hwy.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is investigating the death of an adult in custody at the Multnomah County Inverness Jail (MCIJ).

Update: With next of kin notification complete, MCSO is releasing the identity of the adult in custody who died at the Multnomah County Detention Center on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The deceased is 71-year-old John C. Hanberry.
