The Internal Affairs Unit is dedicated to creating an environment which encourages the highest standards of integrity by assessing and appropriately addressing complaints and concerns received from the public and agency members.

    The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Internal Affairs Unit is dedicated to creating an environment which encourages the highest standards of integrity by assessing and appropriately addressing complaints and concerns received from the public and agency members.

    The Internal Affairs Unit is led by a civilian manager with a background in law.

    Investigations of complaints against Multnomah County Sheriff's Office members are entrusted to the Internal Affairs Unit. 

    It is policy of the sheriff’s office to investigate complaints in a timely, thorough, and impartial manner.

    Submit a Complaint or Compliment

    Tell us about your experience! You may file a complaint or a compliment about a Multnomah County Sheriff's Office member by submitting an online or paper form, or by sending us an email. You may also call the Internal Affairs Unit or talk to any MCSO member about your experience. See below for links and contact details.
