Sheriff’s Office seeks new members to Community Budget Advisory Committee

Published

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office is looking for community members to join our Community Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC). As a participant, you will have the opportunity to become familiar with how the Sheriff’s Office operates. Once selected, members meet once each month from November to April to learn about the work we do and provide perspective on our budget direction for the coming fiscal year. No prior experience with budgeting is necessary!

Each spring, the CBAC provides recommendations to the Multnomah County Chair and Board of County Commissioners during a public board meeting ahead of the adoption of the county’s annual budget.

The Multnomah County Office of Community Involvement (OCI) manages the application process for all county CBACs. Here is the timeline for new members:

  • Voluntary Information Sessions for applicants: offered virtually. Please contact OCI with any questions and for the zoom link.
    • October 2 at 5 p.m.
    • October 3 at 5 p.m.
