MCSO Retiree Bylaws
Membership may include persons who have retired from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, are widows or widowers of Sheriff’s Office retirees, are retired former employees, or are retirees of organizations or agencies (e.g. Portland’s Bureau of Emergency Communications) who have had an association with the Sheriff’s Office through their employment.
This group, formed in 1982, consists of enforcement, corrections and support staff who have retired from the Sheriff’s office. Today there are over 90 members and over 200 contacts.
Retirees meet twice a year in June and December for dinner and every Tuesday at 10am for breakfast. For more information on any of these events, please email us.
The annual dues of $20 help us provide memorial flowers and donations to appropriate charities.
Members are updated on any changes in retirement regulations, taxes, and health coverage that could affect them. Included with your membership dues is an annually updated roster of all other retirees with whom we have contact.
If you complete the form, we will have the information to contact you and stay in touch. While you are always welcome to join us by paying your dues, completing the form does not obligate you to join. It will, however, leave the door open by including your contact information in our roster (so only include info that you want published to the membership).
