Publications and Reports

The Planning and Research Unit is responsible for providing support to the managers and executive staff of the agency through research and analysis of data from multiple sources, and the monthly reporting of jail and enforcement statistics. Much of the reporting is shared with other public safety partners such as court administrators, judges, district attorneys, local police and other elected officials.

The unit is also responsible for responding quickly to ad hoc requests for information from the executive staff and public requests for information channeled through the agency’s Public Information Officer. The members of the unit are also tasked with multiple long and short term projects designed to enhance sheriff’s office operations and increase efficiencies.
