The Human Resources Unit provides full spectrum support, guidance and structure to all aspects of personnel management. We are most visible to job applicants as recruiters.

Human Resources oversees the hiring process from the posting of a job announcement to the confirmed hire offer. Various exam processes are utilized by HR to fit the recruitment objective for the open position.

Sheriff’s Office employees also interact with HR for contract negotiations and labor relation resolutions as well as performance evaluation, probation and leaves of absence administration (including the Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) and Workers Compensation).
