What are the hours of operation at the courthouse?
Monday through Friday 0800-1700, except for Legal Holidays.
What
items are not allowed into the courthouse?
POSSESSION OF ANY WEAPON OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE IN COURT FACILITY
IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED UNDER ORS. 166.370.
All weapons including, but not limited to knives and mace or pepper
spray and firearms, or anything that can be used as a weapon are
prohibited. Other items include, but are not limited to: fingernail
files, box cutters, brass or metal knuckles, knitting needles, wire
cutters, tin snips, screwdrivers, any type of tool, any form or
size of knife or other edged weapon, kubatons, ASP batons, PR24’s,
any type of slugging device, firearms of any description, explosive
devices, propellants, blasting caps, dynamite, fireworks, or any
type of incendiary device, gasoline or other volatile fluid, laser
pointers, stun guns, Tasers or similar devices, any clothing or
other items that are spiked or contain sharp points, alcoholic beverages,
drugs, drug paraphernalia, paint, hairspray, ammunition.

Where
do I report to jury duty?
Jury duty is in room 130 of the Courthouse.
If
I forgot my jury paperwork should I still report to jury duty?
Yes, the jury room personnel can locate your information so you
can still report.
Where
are the arraignment courts located?
Arraignment courts and Community courts are located at the Justice
Center at 1120 SW 3rd Ave. Portland OR 97204 on the 3rd floor.
Is there ADA access at the courthouse?
Yes, all court facilities conform to ADA requirements for access.
If you require further assistance, please feel free to contact any
uniform Officer or Deputy.
ADA parking is located at the corner of 5th & Salmon St.
How
can I contact the Deputies assigned to the Courthouse?
Court Services Unit is located in the courthouse in room 136.
Deputies assigned to the courthouse can be reached by phone at
503-988-3070.
If you need to reach a deputy in person. Please feel free to contact
any Uniformed Officer or Deputy in the courthouse.
In
the case of an emergency at the courthouse, who should I contact?
Please contact any Uniform Deputy (green uniforms) or Facility Security
Officer (brown Uniforms).

How do I find out were my court case is being heard?
In Custody hearings- If you are at the courthouse stop by the front
desk and someone will be able to help you.
Out of Custody hearings- Go to room 106, window #1, and they will
be able to assist you.
I have a warrant and want to turn myself in; who do I need to contact?
Weekdays, during business hours, you can go to the Court Services
Unit in room 136 and they can help you.
Is the DA’s Office located in the Courthouse?
The DA’s main office is located on the 6th Floor of the Courthouse.
Grand Jury is located on the 6th and 7th Floors.
Can
I post Bail at the Courthouse for someone in Custody?
No, Bail must be posted the Justice Center, 1120 SW 3rd Ave. 97204,
between the hours of 7am to 10pm every day of the week.
I
need an attorney can you help me with find one?
The Oregon State Bar has a list of attorneys. They can be reached

Can I do my sex offender registration at the courthouse?
No, sex offender registration can be done on a walk-in basis Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursday 8am-noon
at the Sheriff’s office building located at 12240 NE Glisen
Ave. Portland Oregon 97230.
Contingent on the availablility of a law enforcement detective.
Sex Offender registration can be done at any Oregon State Police
station. For hours and days please contact the Oregon State Police
at 503-378-3725 Ext. 44429
At
the courthouse, where do I take restraining order paperwork to be
served?
Paperwork can be taken to room 134, MCSO Civil office for processing.
