The
Corrections Division provides the highest degree of security for
the citizens of the State of Oregon, and safety for both inmates
and staff of the criminal justice system in a cost-effective manner.
The Corrections Division’s operations provide for the supervision,
order and control of inmates, while offering a broad range of programs
and services which allow inmates opportunity for change.
The Corrections Division offers the widest practical range of detention
options to best serve the needs of the public and individual offenders,
enhancing the inmates ability to return to the community in a law-abiding
manner.
The Corrections Division operational responsibilities and principles
are accomplished while fulfilling all legal requirements in accordance
to the U.S. Constitution, State Statues, correctional case law and
Multnomah County Ordinances.
